Not Exactly What He Expected
From this morning's sermon:
What Caiaphas said in John 11:
"It is better for you that one man should die for the people, not that the whole nation should perish."
What Paul wrote in Romans 5:
"Therefore, as one trespass led to condemnation for all men, so one act of righteousness leads to justification and life for all men. For as by the one man’s disobedience the many were made sinners, so by the one man’s obedience the many will be made righteous."
Caiaphas was right, but not in the way he expected as he condemned Christ to die.
