Things Jesus Said: #1

"Because I live, you also will live.  On that day you will know that I am in my Father, and you in me, and I in you."

John 14:19-20

I'm both comforted by and fearful of this statement.  Comforted by the outright promise of life.  Silenced, though, by the integration of which he speaks:  I'm in the Father; you're in me; and I'm in you.

Interesting that Jesus quickly says "Don't let your heart be troubled; and don't let it be afraid."

Easier said than done!

So I stop, refocus, lean in to him.  I trust, I relax, and I breathe again.

Breathe in, trust, breathe out, trust.  Repeat.  Over and over.
