At 52

At 52, I'm still too often surprised that my natural reaction to circumstances continues to be harsh and insensitive.  I can sometimes stop it, choke it, disguise it -- before it manifests itself openly to others.  But I must process it, shout it down, stop it in its tracks.  I must close my eyes and remember the love of my Father, the patience of Jesus, and his triumph through failure.
