Ten Years of Love
(the italicized refrain is to be read as a congregation in unison)
Rejoice, O Church, and remember
Give praise to our Lord and King
For He has shown us compassion
and He has accomplished great things
Taste, all you who are hungry,
Feast til your heart is content
This bread - this is the Lord’s body,
A token of what lies ahead
See, tired pilgrims, be steady
Stay fast on life's journey today
The One who shows us the pathway
Prepares and secures our safe place
Rejoice, O Church, and remember
Give praise to our Lord and King
For he has shown us compassion
and He has accomplished great things
Touch, all ragamuffins, and feel
That the love of our Father is real
Extend, touch the hem of his garment,
He robes us and intercepts shame
Take, all mendicants, boldly
The grace here is offered for free
The cup is dispens'ed impartially
To all who will just admit need
Rejoice, O Church, and remember
Give praise to our Lord and King
For he has shown us compassion
and He has accomplished great things
Hear, all those who are working,
In strife and stress now to provide,
Our Father takes care of the sparrows
And from Him all things are derived
Inhale, all you who are suffering,
The prayers of the saints are alive
Scented by candles and incense
Communion of all those in Christ
Rejoice, O Church, and remember
Give praise to our Lord and King
For he has shown us compassion
and He has accomplished great things
Rest, you parents, relax
The Word will not return void
Our children are led by His Spirit
And kept for his purpose and joy
And for all of these little children
All eager and eyes full and wide
The Lammy is hiding in plain sight
and such is the Kingdom of God
Rejoice, O Church, and remember
Give praise to our Lord and King
For he has shown us compassion
and He has accomplished great things
So for those who are lonely and broken
For those who can't rise off the floor
The lame and all the unspoken
We all will help open the Door
Rejoice, O Church, and remember
Give praise to our Lord and King
For he has promised redemption
Yes, he will renew and restore
Yes, he will renew and restore
Yes, he will renew and restore
[silence]
Rejoice, O Church, and remember
Give praise to our Lord and King
For he has shown us great kindness
And blessed us with ten years of love
Rejoice, O Church, and remember
Give praise to our Lord and King
For He has shown us compassion
and He has accomplished great things
Taste, all you who are hungry,
