Doubt
The quote on the inside of the Honest Tea label was this:
Doubt is the beginning, not the end, of wisdom.
-- George Iles
I get it. And I agree with it to the extent that it suggests that you should travel the entire road from the beginning to the end.
So I started thinking about other famous quotes on Doubt, and I liked these two:
Doubt is a pain too lonely to know that faith is his twin brother. -- Kahlil Gibran
Doubt is the vestibule through which all must pass before they can enter the temple of wisdom. -- Colton
And then I read Rachel Held Evans' book Evolving in Monkey Town, which offers an interesting view of the role of doubt in faith.
I'm not intending to cover doubt in detail here, but just to recognize it and to say that sometimes it's helpful.
